Anartya: Rebrand
Brand and Print Design
Lighthouse recently completed a rebrand exercise for Anartya Training and Consultancy (previously SafetyHub). Anartya delivers quality Safety and Environmental training and a range of related consultancy services to the energy industry.
Anartya is the name of a small planet in the solar system, and the new brand mark depicts a constellation, taking the form of an ‘A’ (within a protective circle) which represents the name Anartya.
The constellation concept came from the idea of the series of connections that Anartya, as a company make, eg. training, recruitment and consultant staff connecting with people and clients on a global scale.
The constellation mark also depicts information learned at an Anartya seminar/workshop being disseminated out to colleagues in various locations around the world, who in turn disseminate this information further.
Smart Journey:
Mobile Web App Branding
Mobile Web and Brand
Launched in January, Smart Journey aims to combine 'official' information on road conditions with information contributed by the users of the application. SmartJourney is operated by Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Councils to help the people of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire share and discover up to date local weather and travel information.
Lighthouse worked with open data gurus Swirrl in developing the sites brand and design. Swirrl built the application on the principles of open data: the reports shown in the application and other information behind it are all available to be re-used in other ways, under the Open Government Licence.
The creation of SmartJourney was part funded by the NESTA Make it Local Scotland programme.
Aberdeen Airport:
Tom's Aberdeen Adventure
Video concept design and production
Lighthouse recently completed the concept and video production for a viral campaign promoting Aberdeen Airport as a business and tourism gateway to Aberdeen City and Shire.
Our solution, involving young actor Tom Stephen, was to film Tom at 28 locations in and around Aberdeen. The location shots were then edited to the Proclaimers’ anthemic song '500 Miles'.
Released via YouTube the video has received over twenty five thousand views to date and very favourable comments.

Lowcap: Website
Website design
The Low Carbon Regions in the North Sea (LOWCAP) cluster project reviews and exchanges knowledge and experiences from four carbon reduction and energy efficiency projects in the North Sea Region.
Lighthouse worked with Lowcap to develop their web site, which included an information site providing background on the project and partners, as well as a project members extranet to assist with knowledge transfer and file sharing. The CMS used provides the site managers with easy to use tools to manage all the website content.
The web site developed the Lowcap brand online with a clean and modern design.
Walls FR / WorldwideWorkWear: Interactive Product Catalogue
IOnscreen and presentation design
Walls FR / WorldwideWorkWear are manufacturers of flame retardant, industrial workwear and suppliers of PPE to the oil & gas industry worldwide. They aim to deliver a product range to protect from ‘the head to the toe’.
Lighthouse worked with Walls/WorldsideWorkWear to develop an interactive product brochure that would work online, on tablet devices, and as a presentation tool.
The interactive approach successfully reduced print costs and allowed more detailed and related information to be included within the catalogue while maintaining the quality of a traditional printed brochure. The interactive brochure is easy to distribute online, by email and on USB sticks.
Wood Group Kenny Brochure
Brochure design
Wood Group Kenny is the umbrella organisation for five specialist oil & gas companies. The combined organisation provides life-cycle engineering technology, management and integrity solutions for oil and gas and renewable energy projects from concept phase through into operation and abandonment.
Lighthouse designed a top level brochure to introduce the group capability, present the five companies and their areas of individual specialism, and communicate the combined service capability the group brings.
Collabro Legare Website
Website design
Collabro’s Legare software is a Primavera Integration solution for Primavera EPPM users in the enterprise environment.
The website provides an overview of the software’s capabilities and example scenarios for its use, along with reseller contact information, news articles and company information pages.
A clean, easy to navigate design was developed, while the site CMS makes content updates easy and supports search engine friendly pages.
Robertsons:
Emergency Care Centre Video
Video concept design and production
Robertson Construction employs over 1100 people and works throughout the UK for clients such as the Ministry of Defence, Tesco, Scottish Natural Heritage and several National Health Authorities.
Lighthouse were commissioned to film and produce a promotional video for the opening of the new Emergency Care Centre at the Foresterhill Health Campus in Aberdeen. Using a series of insightful interviews and location filming while the build was ongoing, we were able to tell the fascinating story behind the construction of one of Scotland's largest and most successful healthcare projects.
Wood Group GTS iPad Presentation App
App and digital design and production
Wood Group GTS is a market leader in providing integrated solutions for the maintenance, repair, overhaul and upgrade of turbo-machinery.
To support the Wood Group GTS global exhibition presence, Lighthouse developed an iPad presentation tool to consolidate their videos, interactive presentations and PowerPoints within one self contained, easy to use interactive app.
TAQA: TAQA Talk Newsletter
Design for Print
TAQA Bratani is one of the fastest-growing exploration and production companies working on the United Kingdom Continental Shelf.
TAQA’s quarterly 20 page newsletter ‘TAQA Talk’ provides a mixture of company, industry, employee and community news to staff in the UK, both on and offshore.
SAP Education: iPhone App
App and digital design and production
SAP ABAP Debugger Basics is a personal learning tool based on the popular classroom-based course run by SAP Education. The aim of the iPhone/iPad App is to equip users with the basic knowledge required to effectively analyze and troubleshoot with the ABAP Debugger tool.
Lighthouse worked with Door Consulting to design and program the app to be easy to use and work as a self-contained mobile learning course and a quick reference tool for SAP ABAP users.
Adventure Aberdeen: Website
Website design
Adventure Aberdeen is a not-for-profit Aberdeen City Council service. They provide an essential and vibrant outdoor service to education, social care and community organisations across Aberdeen city.
Adventure Aberdeen required a website that would show the full range of outdoor activities and experiences they offer in a visual and vibrant design. We developed a new website that is focused around imagery of the activities along with details of each. The CMS makes site updates easy and quick.
Wood Group Kenny Newsletter
Design for Print
As part of the ongoing brand development for Wood Group Kenny (WGK), Lighthouse have designed and produced a newsletter to highlight their latest technologies and achievements.
'Newspoint' communicates what the individual WGK companies are doing independently and also as an integrated Group.
Aberdeen Airport
Brand awareness
In January 2012, the Civil Aviation Authority released data that confirmed Aberdeen Airport was the fastest growing airport in the UK. The Airport saw 11.5% growth on the previous year - a fantastic achievement.
Lighthouse were asked to design a large format poster within the terminal, to communicate this achievement to their passengers and to thank them 'for getting on board'.
NHS Technology Adoption Centre
Website Design
The NHS Technology Adoption Centre works directly with industry & the NHS to identify and overcome the barriers to adoption for innovative technologies. Lighthouse were tasked with updating the design of their website, developing the style and presentation of the site to target it's broad range of audiences.
